Tandon Eye Centre
Tandon Eye Centre was founded on April 14, 2002, by Dr. Sukesh Tandon and Dr. Meenakshi Tandon. Dr. Sukesh Tandon specialized in Vitreo-retinal services, while Dr. Meenakshi Tandon focused on Squint and Paediatric Ophthalmology, both honing their skills at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai.
During that period, super-specialized eye care was virtually non-existent in Rajasthan. The center’s primary objective was to offer cutting-edge eye care services to our community at affordable rates.
In 2002, we pioneered Trans pupillary thermotherapy and vitrectomy with a wide-field non-contact visualization system, setting a precedent in Rajasthan. In June 2005, we conducted the first sutureless vitrectomy (MIVS) in the state. Additionally, we led the way in using anti-VEGF therapy for Wet Age-related macular degeneration in Rajasthan, initiating this treatment in January 2008.
